To the Electoral Commission

I live in Dublin 8 in our wonderful, creative, diverse and rapidly growing community. I believe the entire area between the canal and the Liffey should be in one Dail constituency.

The population between the Grand Canal and the river Liffey is now over 73k. If the entire South Inner City (pop: 73k) is combined with Pembroke (pop: 45k) the total population of this area is in excess of 118k which is the correct population for a four seat Dail constituency.

Harold’s Cross and Terenure should be combined with the Dublin 10 & 12 suburbs in the other constituency.

I would be grateful the Electoral Commission could take my submission on board.
