Dear sir or madam,

I would like to request that appropriate consideration be given to the significant population increase in the Drogheda – East Meath settlement area over the last 15-20 years.

Drogheda by even the most modest projections will become a city in the coming years and the management of the future city will impact upon all of those that reside in the greater Drogheda and East Meath areas and hinterlands.

Whilst the electoral boundaries may or may not be changed as part of the review, I would hope that any decision would allow the Drogheda Urban and East Meath area to be managed as a cohesive settlement going forward.

When a city administration is appointed to Drogheda in the years ahead the decisions it will take will impact upon those living in the East Meath settlement area and vice versa.

I hope that the above is considered as part of the review.
