What is much more important to me and much of the electorate I believe rather than any adjustments to the ratio of one TD to 30K or so of the electorate, is how we deliver democracy in line with the principles of open Government. 

As one who has been involved in a number of areas of policy at national and European level, especially around social policies, it has proven particularly challenging to engage with some elected members. 

Far greater emphasis needs to be placed on advancing participative Democracy with the appropriate alignment, accountability and transparency with mainstream politics.
