To whom it may concern,

I respect that the drawing up of boundaries has to be a difficult job, and when it comes to Cork South West it can’t ever be an easy task, areas in West Cork from Castletownbere in County Cork to the Mizen Peninsula right down to Kinsale and Innishannon need to stay in West Cork..

We are of the strong belief that all county boundaries stay intact, that is the view of the people of County Cork, that no part of County Cork should be part of any other county.

The population of Cork South West  has grown as seen in the recent census, this is an opportunity to grow the 3 seater to a 4,5 or 6 seater, including areas in West Cork that have been previously excluded from West Cork, that feel part of West Cork, and West Cork only areas like Gougane Barra, Ballingeary, Inchigeela, Togher North of Dunmanway, Copeen, Castletown, kinneigh, North Of Dunmanway towards the Mealach Valley, Enniskeane have to go back in Cork South West this time as well as Newcestown.

Also consideration in putting Macroom in West Cork if it was to be a 6 seater should be considered.

To the East Ballygarven would fit perfect in to Cork South West.

The areas mentioned above have been lost politically for years, it is astonishing that Ballineen is in Cork South West, but the town it is joined to Enniskeane is in the Macroom/ Ballincollig Constituency, the people are totally at a disadvantage, as are those who live in Newcestown, Castle, kinnagh and  North of Dunmanway.

I have no doubt that if an Independent Poll was taken out in the areas mentioned above, you would have 90% plus polling to be in Cork South West, by not including these areas in West Cork you are ripping the very heart of West Cork to pieces.

The same for respecting County Boundaries where they were,  or but especially in Cork County where Cork would stay Cork, and Kerry would stay Kerry is the only way that people would support the Boundary changes that will be made.
