I noticed that one of the strongest guidelines you have to take account of when deciding on the Dáil and European Parliament Constituency Review is not to cross county boundaries. This carries a strong weighting and I ask the Kilkenny County Boundary will not be broken or crossed when reviewing new constituency boundaries. This would not be acceptable in Kilkenny and hope you refrain from doing that. We have had enough county boundary issues in the past without giving another opportunity for a county boundary change by crossing our county boundary as part of the constituency review.

It should also be taken into account that the Kilkenny Country Boundary is also a Provincial Boundary and should not be considered for a change. I don’t think any current constituency crosses a Provincial Boundary.
