Dear Sir or Madam,

I have lived in Castlepollard all my life – over eighty years. Since 2007 the people of North Westmeath have been asked to vote in general elections in the Meath-West constituency. We are not local fellows with people in Meath-West. We vote in local elections in Mullingar/Kinnegad, our children go to school in Mullingar and play sport in Westmeath.

I would hazard a guess that 40% of the electorate in Meath West would not be able to name the three sitting T.D.’s in this constituency. Put us back where we belong the Longford Westmeath constituency.
