To whom it may concern:

I am writing to you to voice my strong opposition to the proposal to move the Ballyglass DED out of the Clare constituency and in to the Limerick constituency. 

As a lifelong resident of this area, I wish to remind the Electoral Commission that I am a CLARE native and that Ballyglass is part of CLARE.  I know that I am far from alone in saying that people from this area are hugely proud of our county and our constituency is an integral part of our local identity.  We are NOT Limerick citizens.  Why should we be represented by elected Limerick representatives? People not from our own county, who simply would not have the same vested interest or passion in our county as an elected representative from Clare would have. 

I know I am most certainly not alone in my objection to the proposed changes and hope that the Electoral Commission see sense and do not proceed with these plans to erode our identity.
